More than 20 minutes of media interviews had gone by, as everyone wanted to know how he experienced his EuroLeague debut withOlympiacos Piraeus.
Fresh off his arrival in Athens, Wright had one and only practice session with his new team before plunging into the deep.
His debut EuroLeague performance reflected Olympiacos' course all the way through thecontest against ALBA Berlin-- out of tune in the first half, firing on all cylinders in the second part.
The hosts dominated the game, allowing Wright to become part of the equation. The former Mavs center scored all his 15 points over a 13-minute span while adding 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks.
Wright knew that he had to prepare himself in the best way possible in order to deliver a memorable debut.

Wright, who went undrafted in 2021, has checked in at four NBA games with the LA Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks in 2021-22.
However, it was his 40-day-long stint with Turkish side Merkezefendi that caught Olympiacos' eye and brought him to Pireaus. He only played five games with his first European outfit, but he also made sure his short-term presence wouldn't go unnoticed.
His numbers (26.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, 1.4 steals, 27.4 in PIR) turned him into EuroLeague material almost overnight. Still, contrary to what one would think, his decision to leave Merkezefendi wasn't easy.
