Jason Kidd on Luka Doncic: 'He's better than Dirk' / News - Basketnews.com
Kidd says Doncic is better than Nowitzki already because he's doing things at 24 the German big man could never do despite not having been to the NBA Finals yet. He compared the Slovenian guard to having a similar aura to LeBron James or Kobe Bryant.

Kidd says Luka is already better than Dirk Nowitzki, who has a statue dedicated to him in front of the Mavericks arena and who's considered a club legend.
The former NBA point guard proclaimed Doncic even was in the vicinity of Michael Jordan, who many consider to be the greatest of all time.
"I've said it before, and I'll say it for as long as I'm here - you can't take this young man for granted. He's better than Dirk, he's in the atmosphere of MJ, the best to ever do it, LeBron [James], Kobe [Bryant]. Just to appreciate what this young man is doing at the age of 24 is something that Dallas has never seen," Kidd said during the 97.1 The Freak's "The Downbeat" show.
"And I've said this internally - he is better than Dirk. He does things that Dirk could have never do," the coach said. "And now it's the opportunity of getting the right people around him to ultimately win a championship."
Pressed to explain his opinion about Doncic being better than Nowitzki despite not having made it to the NBA Finals when Dirk has won a title for the city of Dallas, Kidd said that Jordan had his share of troubles early on as well.
"MJ is the same way. MJ didn't make it until his 30s. This young man is 24 and is breaking all the records that stay in front of him. He's a winner, and his ultimate goal is to win a championship. He will get there and not just win one, but he will win multiple when it's all said and done," Kidd concluded.
