However, the Brooklyn Nets do not look favorably upon trading for Bridges at all with any team. The Rockets offered multiple first-round draft picks to the Brooklyn team, but that proposal was not well received either.
Furthermore, the Rockets will not be looking to trade for either Dejounte Murray or Zach LaVine, two interesting names of this trade deadline.
The Athletic also notes that the Rockets may even sacrifice one of their prospects fromAlperen Sengun,Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr., Tari Eason,Amen Thompson, andCam Whitmore for a trade.
While Green would have had priority beforehand, Sengun's dominance in the team and coach Ime Udoka's plans have rendered him very important for the Rockets.
The Houston team is also looking for a rim protector, which has pushed them to contact names such asKelly Olynyk, Clint Capela, Andre Drummond, and Robert Williams III, to name a few.
Finally, the Athletic notes that the Rockets are looking for a player similar to Fred VanVleet, a two-way ballhandler. In this regard, Malcolm Brogdon, who worked with Udoka in the Boston Celtics, is under consideration.
Regardless, the Rockets have not lost their focus on young players, and sources from the Rockets state that Cam Whitmore and Amen Thompson are off the table unless the team is attempting to acquire a star.
Furthermore, Tari Eason and Jabari Smith Jr. are also not under consideration for trade.
This year, the Rockets have a record of 22-24 and an irregular season so far. They have started a reconstruction with coach Udoka at the helm this season after two years of failure under Stephen Silas.
