"It's not clear. He got hit. I think one player landed on his knee when he fell down," explained Can. "So we will have a clear picture tomorrow when we go back to Istanbul. Right now, he couldn't go on the game," he said.
"Tyrique Jones had [an] injury, but he wanted to go on," Can also revealed about Tyrique Jones.
When reminded about the numerous coaches that were sacked this season, Can had a smile on his face and then proceeded to answer a question on how much support he had from the Anadolu Efes management.
"I have confidence in myself; that's the first thing. No matter what happens, I know who I am, I know what I am capable of..." Can said, expressing confidence in himself. "I really trust my players, their attitude, their wish to win... In our job, you cannot make things [different] like day and night," he also praised his players.
However, the rookie head coach was aware that his status was not in the best situation.
"In this business, unfortunately, whatever you do, people want results. You need to be able to perform the results. Other than that, whatever I say is just words," Can concluded.
Efes got its 15th loss this season, as opposed to just 9 wins. This season is also Can's first as a EuroLeague head coach and his tenure has been marked by controversies and wavy performances from the team.
