The 31-year-old big man has signed a deal with Girona Basquet in Spain. The contract runs until the end of the season.

In his 6-year NBA career, Birch played for the Orlando Magic and the Toronto Raptors, holding career averages of 5 points and 4.4 rebounds.

The 2.05-meter player represented the Canadian national team in the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China and averaged 11.6 points and 7 rebounds per game.

With 8 wins and 13 losses, Girona, a team that's owned by former NBA star Marc Gasol, is currently 13th in the Spanish Liga Endesa standings.
