Haywood Highsmith had to miss the Miami Heat home game against the Spurs after he was implicated in a car crash.

Earlier Wednesday, Miami listed Highsmith as out due to personal reasons. The Heat defeated the visiting Orlando Magic 121-95 on Tuesday, and needed a triple-doulbe from Jimmy Butler to down the San Antonio Spurs 116-104 on Wednesday.
"We have been made aware that Highsmith was involved in a car accident heading home from last night's game," the Heat said in a statement.
"Our hearts go out to those who were injured. We will have no further comment at this time."
Highsmith, 27, is averaging 5.8 points and 2.8 rebounds in 37 games (24 starts) this season. This is his third season with the Heat.
