Ukic began his career in Split in 2000 and ended it in his hometown as well, competing until the end of the 2022-23 season. He recently started working as a basketball commentator in Croatia.
Throughout his long basketball career, Ukic won 20 titles with multiple different teams. Among the teams are two years in the NBA with the Toronto Raptors and the Milwaukee Bucks.
In Europe, he competed for Tau Ceramica (now, Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz), FC Barcelona, Lottomatica Roma, Fenerbahce Istanbul, Panathinaikos Athens, and Cedevita in the Euroleague. Ukic was named the Greek Cup's MVP in 2013.
Ukic was a constant in the Croatian national team, representing the nation in 10 major international tournaments throughout his career.
