Frank Ntilikina was released from his NBA contract. Returning to action recently after being sidelined for several months by a fractured tibia, the French point guard (1.96 m, 25 years old) was cut by the Charlotte Hornets along with James Bouknight and Ish Smith.

The franchise recovered five players, including Vasilije Micic, during the trade deadline and had to let go of some players.

After missing the 2023 World Cup, Ntilkina was injured during training camp and only returned to action in mid-January. Despite the praise of his coach Steve Clifford about his defense, the Alsatian guard only played five matches for Charlotte, tallying one field goal in nine attempts (11.1%), 6 rebounds and 4 assists in five games.

Since Ntilikina hopes to be selected for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, his next destination could be crucial. The 8th pick in the 2017 NBA draft might move to a fourth NBA franchise or consider signing with a team in Europe.
