Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade lost toZalgiris Kaunas on Friday night, in a result that trimmed down their playoff chances to the bare minimum. After that result (91-93), Zvezda are third to bottom in the EuroLeague standings with a record of 10-16.

With 20 seconds left on the game clock, two referees' decisions at the end of the game caused the local fans' anger, culminating in many objects being thrown on the court.

At first, the referees called an unsportsmanlike foul onYago dos SantosagainstEdgaras Ulanovas, and a few moments later, the referees didn't call for a possible backcourt violation byKeenan Evans.

When the referees left the court, fans started throwing objects at them again.

The Serbian club announced that they've already identified the culprits who "damaged the tunnel and tried to violate the physical integrity of certain actors of the match."

"KK Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet notes with regret that regardless of all the events during the match, the incidents at the end of the match overshadowed all the club's efforts to organize the game without incidents."

The club is in contact with the authorities who, after all the necessary data have been collected and all persons have been identified, will react in accordance with their legal powers. At the same time, Zvezda, per internal rules, will confiscate season tickets from those persons and prohibit entry to any games hosted by the club.
