"It is completely stupid to comment on the importance of Zeljko Obradovic," began Mijailovic. "The man is the most decorated basketball coach. We are discussing the extension of cooperation within the club. Our desire is to continue cooperation," he revealed.
"I see no reason for it to be otherwise. It is important that he has a clear picture of what we have at our disposal next season when it comes to money and budget," the Partizan president stated, discussing the club's responsibility when it comes to a possible extension with Obradovic.
This year, Partizan currently sits at the 11th place with a win-loss record of 12-14. They have lost three of their last games.
Zeljko Obradovic returned to Partizan in 2021 after departing Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul. The Serbian team was Obradovic's first head coaching experience from 1991 to 1993.
Before that, Obradovic was known to be a Partizan legend as a player, serving the team from 1984 to 1991 and winning the FIBA Korac Cup in 1989.
