The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced the finalists for the 2024 ceremony edition.

Five different committees (North American, Women’s, Men’s Veterans, Women’s Veterans, International, and Contributors) each named their candidates for the Hall of Fame. Out of the 14 candidates, the Honors Committee will decide which will be enshrined in the Hall of Fame.

Former NBA superstar Vince Carter and NBA champion star point guard Chauncey Billups highlight the list. Long-time Los Angeles Lakers player Michael Cooper and 6-time NBA All-Star Walter Davis join them as the player nominees from the North American Committee.

Seimone Augustus, a four-time WNBA champion and a WNBA Finals MVP, is listed by the Women's Committee as the only player nominee. Two-time NBA champions Dick Barnett, whose no. 12 jersey is retired by the New York Knicks, highlights the Veteran Committee list.

Former NBA player, coach, and now broadcaster Doug Collins is among the three-men list from the Contributors Committee, which also includes Hall of Famer Jerry West, who would this time be included as an executive following his long-time career that earned him 8 NBA titles with multiple different clubs, most notably the 80s Lakers.
