Stephen Curry has had a tremendous impact on not just NBA basketball but global basketball. The Golden State Warriors sharpshooter has become one of the leading veterans of the NBA and is now at a time in his career when retirement is increasingly becoming an agenda.

When asked about what he thought about retiring from professional basketball in a post-game conference after the 2024 NBA All-Star game, Curry said the following.

"[I] think about it all the time. But the thoughts stop because you got to get ready for the next game, and you know there’s a routine and a cycle that goes that you embrace the now," Curry explained, after noting that the thought does not escape his mind.

"Eventually, you'll get to a point where you'll wake up, and whatever your body is telling you, whatever your mind is telling you, it's time. But I don’t think I'm anywhere close to that," he said, explicitly stating that he will continue his professional career for the foreseeable future.

Curry would be right in stating that his mind and body are still ready for some more basketball, as he is averaging 28 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5 assists on 42.7% three-point shooting.

He also recently won the much-anticipated 3-Point Challenge against WNBA sharpshooter Sabrina Ionescu.
