Former Denver Nuggets head coach George Karl believes Nikola Jokic is the greatest player to wear the No. 15 jersey in the franchise's history while also tagging Carmelo Anthony in his post.

"Happy bday to the champ, the ultimate team guy and the greatest player to wear #15 in Denver hoops history," Karl tweeted on Jokic's birthday.

Interestingly, Karl also tagged Carmelo Anthony, who also wore the No. 15 jersey during his Nuggets days.

Earlier, Anthony expressed his disappointment that Jokic wears the No. 15 jersey, claiming the Nuggets gave him this number to erase his legacy.

"It was a petty maneuver," Anthony noted. "It wasn't like, 'Oh, we got numbers to choose from.' It was like, 'Here, you got 15.' And y'all put Jokic in the middle of that. He doesn't know what the f**k is going on. He could've been like, 'I wanna wear 15.' They could've been like, '15 is here. I can wear 15. Oh, that's Melo's number.'

"He could have worn it because he wanted to pay homage, but what I believe is that they gave him 15 to try to erase what I did."

Jokic was selected 41st overall in the 2014 NBA Draft and was far from a star-caliber player in his early NBA days. Since then, he has become the face of the franchise and achieved success, winning an NBA championship and two MVP awards.
