FC Barcelona and Jan Vesely have reached an agreement to extend the player's contract until June 30, 2026, the club announced.

The contract ended in 2025 and both parties have agreed to extend their bond. Vesely, 33, will be at Blaugrana for a minimum of four seasons.

"We have decided to renew the contract. The decision was very quick and easy. I'm very happy to have done it because I feel very comfortable with this decision and I'm really enjoying Barcelona", the Czech international stated.

"These first two seasons at Barca are going very well, with a different role than in my career, with a different game and style," Vesely continued.

"I am very happy and this helps me learn from myself what different aspects I can bring to the team. I'm enjoying the role I have and I'm very happy to continue."

Vesely regrets not being able to win the Cup title in Malaga but faces the second stage of his stint in Barcelona with optimism.

"We still have two competitions left where we have to fight for the trophies and, therefore, I am very optimistic. It's not easy to lose, but I think this can make us stronger and I think everyone has the mentality to forget the Cup as soon as possible," he argued.

"Next week, against Monaco, we play at home again and we have to be ready to play the second part of the season and fight for two more trophies."

Between the 2022/23 season and the current 23/24 season, Vesely has played 129 games in the Blaugrana jersey (63 in the Euroleague, 55 in the ACB, 4 in the Cup, 4 in the Catalan League and 3 in the Super Cup), winning three titles (an ACB League and two Catalan Leagues).

In the Euroleague this season, he's averaging 12.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 16.6 in PIR in 21 minutes. In addition, he has been in the starting five in 24 of the 25 games.

Overall, in 63 games with Barca in the Euroleague, Vesely has recorded 10.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 13.5 in PIR per contest.

In the ACB, he has accumulated 55 games, with 8.7 points, 3.9 rebounds per game.
