"I am very happy to be in Roanne," the player said. "I appreciate the atmosphere within the group, and I've felt a good chemistry with the coach since my arrival. Most importantly, I am thrilled to be back on the court and contribute to the team."
A former 15th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Doumbouya boasts experience from 96 NBA games (30 starts) spanning three seasons with the Detroit Pistons (2019-21) and the Los Angeles Lakers (2021-22).
His NBA career reflects averages of 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in 17.1 minutes per game.
Doumbouya celebrated success last season as part of the NBA G League champions with the Delaware Blue Coats.
The 23-year-old originally launched his professional career in 2015 with Centre Federal, a French club based in Paris. He then played at Poitiers and Limoges before making a leap to the NBA.
