The new deal makes Kerr the highest-paid coach in NBA history. San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has a bigger annual salary, but he's notably also the organization's president of basketball operations.
Before agreeing to a new contract, Kerr had only a year left in his previous deal. The new contract now runs until the end of the 2025-26 season.
Kerr is a four-time NBA champion with the Warriors and a five-time champion as a player. Despite winning multiple titles throughout his tenure with Golden State, he was named NBA's Coach of the Year just once in 2016.
