The star guard underwent an MRI on Saturday that revealed a tear of the radial collateral ligament (RCL) in the fifth finger of his Young's hand, the Hawks announced. The 25-year-old will undergo surgery on Tuesday, February 27th, to repair the RCL.
Young suffered the injury during the game against the Toronto Raptors on Friday, February 23rd. He's been averaging 26.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 10.8 assists per game this season.
With 24 wins and 32 losses, the Hawks are currently 10th in the Eastern Conference. The team recently gained traction online after it was discovered they'd won 750 games and lost 750 games in the last 1500 contests.
