Monty Williams bashes the refs: 'The absolute worst call of the season' / News - Basketnews.com
Williams said the Pistons have been in constant contact with the league about refereeing and have received no help. It was the worst call of the season, Williams was sure. The coach didn't take any questions and left the press conference room after a fiery rant.

After the match, the focus was on a no-call during the last seconds of the contest.
Namely, Detroit's Ausar Thompson stole the ball with 10 seconds to go and Pistons up by one, but he lost it moments later when Donte DiVincenzo dove for it at Thompson's legs.
The Knicks got the ball back, and Josh Hart made an and-one to seal the game. Following the loss, Detroit's head coach, Monty Williams, was furious with the no-call against Thompson.
"Where's the New York media now? The absolute worst call of the season, no call, and enough is enough. We've done it the right way, we've called the league, we've been sending clips. We're sick of hearing the same stuff over and over again," he said in the post-game press conference. "We had a chance to win the game, and it got dove into Ausar's legs, and there was a no-call. That's an abomination. You cannot miss that in an NBA game. Period."
"And I'm tired of talking about it, I'm tired of our guys asking me, 'What more can we do, coach?' That situation is Exhibit A to what we've been dealing with all season long, and enough is enough. You cannot dive into a guy's legs in a big-time game like that and there to be a no-call. It's ridiculous and we're tired of it. We just want a fair game called. Period. And I've got nothing else to say. We want a fair game, and that was not fair. I'm done," Williams said and left the room without taking any questions.
Following the final whistle, Crew Chief James Williams admitted that there was a mistake made during that play.
"Upon postgame review, we determined that Thompson gets to the ball first, and then was deprived of the opportunity to gain possession of the ball. Therefore, a loose ball foul should have been whistled on New York’s Donte DiVincenzo," he said after the game.
