Previously, ESPN had broke the news that Kerr signed a two-year contract worth $35 million, which would make him the highest-paid coach in the history of the NBA.
Kerr has led the Golden State Warriors since 2014. With the California squad, the coach was able to win four championships (2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022) and was named the Coach of the Year in 2016. Also, he was named one of the "15 Greatest Coaches in NBA History" as part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
He has also had a decorated career as a player, winning the NBA championship five times (1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2003) and winning the Three-Point Contest once (1997).
