"It's the same mindset: if I feel good, I'm playing," Embiid stated.
The surgery, a response to a meniscus tear, typically involves a recovery period of three to six months.
Tim Bontemps also relayed that Embiid is pleased with his rehabilitation progress, highlighting the importance of managing the inevitable ups and downs in his journey back to the court.
"The goal is to try to get as healthy as possible and come back," the player said.
Prior to his injury, Embiid had been a dominant force in the league, leading in scoring with an average of 35.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game.
In a forward-looking statement, Embiid expressed his intention to participate in the Paris Olympics this summer with Team USA, contingent on his feeling of readiness.
