According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the 29-year-old is currently dealing with a serious family issue.

"I'm told Andrew Wiggins is dealing and tending to a serious family matter right now," Charania said. "The Warriors are giving him his space, they're giving him his time. The expectation is Andrew Wiggins will be returning at some point this season. They're optimistic about that, but they also understand he's going through this process."

No specific timetable has been established for Wiggins' return.

This is not the first time Wiggins has faced personal challenges, as he missed a two-month stretch last season due to undisclosed personal reasons, later revealed by Charania to be related to his father, Mitchell Wiggins, experiencing a serious medical situation.

Despite enduring early-season struggles that led to coach Steve Kerr benching him, Wiggins has found his rhythm in the last eight games since the February 8 trade deadline. During this period, he has averaged 14.6 points and 4.1 rebounds.
