Israeli Winner League game between Hapoel Holon and Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv did not end like the teams would've wanted, as a fight between the teams' fan groups broke out after the final whistle.

When the game was already over, Tel Aviv club's ultras attacked Holon's ultras in the opposite stand. Following the fight that lasted a couple of minutes, they took away Holon ultras' flag, a feat that is considered of a high honor in ultras world.

The action was caused by the pre-game chant from Holon fans during the ceremony in which a fallen Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldier Omri Shwartz, who was also a Hapoel Tel Aviv fan, was honored, Israeli media reports. Namely, Holon ultras chanted words that insulted the IDF.

During the attack, multiple members of security and police were injured, Tomer Givati from Israel Hayom reports. Everything happened while Tel Aviv's head coach, Danny Franco, was being interviewed by Israeli television, Sport5.

It could be seen that one man was even swinging a rod at another person, connecting with one of the swings to the back of one man's head.

Hapoel Holon issued a statement the next day, blaming the entire incident on Hapoel Tel Aviv's fans.

"At the end of the game last night, the team's young fans were attacked and the deployment flag was stolen from them in what was described for some reason in some of the media as a mutual fight," the team said in the statement.

"Those fans who remained in the stands were busy folding the equipment without any provocation or instigation that would cause the brutal attack on them. What's more, this was done and filmed while Danny Franco was being interviewed on the court. Where were the security guards? Where was the big police force? Good questions that we demand to be investigated."
