Alperen Sengun outplayed Victor Wembanyama and set a new high-score for Turkish players in the NBA Tuesday night.

Sengun scored 45 points on 19-for-32 shooting, grabbed 16 rebounds, made 5 steals, and dished out 3 assists on his way to a 114-101 win against the San Antonio Spurs. With this performance, he overtook Mehmet Okur to become the new Turkish highest scorer in the NBA.

Previously, Okur had scored 43 points against the Indiana Pacers during the 2008-09 season.

Sengun has been playing his best season yet this year, averaging 21.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, his highest marks in his three-year career in all three categories.

The Houston Rockets big man's previous career-high was 37 points, set against the New Orleans Pelicans earlier this season.
