Virtus Segafredo Bologna Valencia Basket87-74 Valencia Basket FC BarcelonaThu19:30According to Las Provincias' Juan Carlos Villena, following the presentation of the offer for three seasons, the two parties have advanced their negotiations. According to his current contract, Pradilla, 23, is bound to receive around 600,000 euros gross.
Pradilla arrived in Valencia in the summer of 2020 as one of the great promises of Spanish basketball. Since then, he's suffered a shoulder injury and limited playing time.
Per Fermin Rodriguez from COPE, the issue still pending resolution is the exit clause, currently amounting to 500,000 euros. Hence, the two sides are trying to change that figure and bring it closer to 1 million euros, so that less clubs can reach out for the player. As soon as the issue is settled, Pradilla's renewal for two more seasons will be made official.
Villena notes that one of the factors helping negotiations to advance is of a personal nature, since the relationship between Pradilla and Luis Arbalejo, the current Taronja sports director, dates back to the player's youth years in Zaragoza.
Pradilla is averaging 3.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.6 in PIR over 24 EuroLeague contests this season. He also puts up 4.7 points and collects 3.3 boards per ACB game.
Josep Puerto's renewal is going at a slightly slower pace, but Valencia are willing to expand their contractual relationship with the homegrown player.
