The 2023-24 season saw LaVine's playing time limited to just 25 games due to a pair of injuries to his right foot.
During this injury-riddled season, he averaged 19.5 points -- his lowest scoring output since his first season in Chicago in 2017-18 when he played 24 games after recovering from ACL surgery.
Trade rumors swirled around LaVine in the first half of the season, particularly after he expressed frustration with the team during a challenging 5-14 start to the year.
Nevertheless, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that there was "no market" for LaVine before the deadline, and his injury essentially rendered any potential trade discussions irrelevant.
