Alperen Sengun of the Houston Rockets will likely miss the remainder of the NBA season.

According to Shams Chanaria of Stadium, while the center has thankfully avoided major injury and surgery, he is still expected to be out with a Grade 3 injury for "several weeks."

Since the Houston Rockets are 5 wins off from claiming a play-in position, it is highly possible that Sengun will miss the remainder of the season, which will end early for the Rockets anyway.

The Turkish international had landed very awkwardly on his right leg in a win against the Sacramento Kings. While the fall was initially thought to be serious, the youngster thankfully avoided a major injury and, therefore, surgery.

In his best season in the NBA so far, Sengun is averaging 21.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 5 assists per game on 53.7% field goal shooting.
