Zalgiris Kaunas are finalizing a contract extension with EuroLeague rookie Brady Manek, sources tell BasketNews.

Last summer, the 25-year-old forward inked a 1+1 deal with Zalgiris, which included an option to part ways after the first season.

However, both the player and the team are currently in the final process of renegotiating the contract, with the aim of securing his stay in Kaunas at least until 2025, which is expected to be finalized soon.

Throughout the 2023-24 EuroLeague season, Manek has contributed 7.5 points per game, shooting 42.9% from beyond the arc.

Additionally, he has been grabbing 3.3 rebounds per game and boasting a Performance Index Rating (PIR) of 7.1 in less than 19 minutes of playing time per EuroLeague game.

In one of his standout performances this season, Manek scored 17 points, sinking all five of his three-point attempts, and pulled down 14 rebounds in an impressive away victory against Baskonia.

Manek has demonstrated his value to the team, ranking third in plus/minus for Zalgiris in the second part of the regular season. When Manek is on the court, Zalgiris' three-point shooting percentage soars to 42.9%, the highest on the team.

Before joining Zalgiris, Manek played for the Perth Wildcats and Tofas Bursa.
