With the Turkish team still actively fighting for the spot in the play-in tournament, ASVEL surprised the basketball community and had an 18-point lead in the game. Despite Efes' tremendous comeback, the home squad captured the victory in the end.

Next, FC Bayern Munich host Zalgiris Kaunas, as head coach Andrea Trinchieri came back to play against his former team in Germany, with both teams considering themselves candidates for the play-in. Zalgiris struggled mightily, Rolands Smits got injured in the second quarter, and Bayern came away with a much-needed win.

The league leaders were on a three-game losing streak, while Virtus had lost at home just twice this season, but the reigning champions were superior, leading throughout all 40 minutes of the game en route to a win.
