Shaquille O'Neal, a legend of the NBA, believes that the Oklahoma City Thunder could face a potentially difficult match-up against either the Los Angeles Lakers or the Golden State Warriors.

The former player gave his remarks in the NBA on TNT program.

"The Lakers or the Warriors could beat the Thunder in the first round," he said. He was then protested by the other hosts on his phrasing, particularly regarding the dilemma between the word "can/could" or "will."

"'Can' is just as dangerous as 'will,'" said the legend. "If you are the number 1 seed, you don't want people saying 'can.'"

At the moment, the Oklahoma City Thunder are ranked first in the Western Conference in what has been a strong season for the young team. Since there are only 16 games left until the end of the NBA regular season, it is entirely possible for them to match up with either the Lakers (currently ranked 9th) or the Warriors (currently ranked 10th).

Unlike the OKC, the two veteran teams have been having an uneven season. However, their experience far triumphs over the relatively younger and inexperienced squad of the Thunder.
