Davis had eight points and four rebounds in all but three seconds of the first quarter before departing. Without his defense on the floor, the Warriors scored 37 points in the second period and shot 60.9% from the field to erase a seven-point deficit.
In his 12th NBA season, the 31-year-old averaged 24.7 points with 12.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists heading into Saturday’s game. Davis was playing in his 64th game, his most in a season since he played in and started 75 games for the New Orleans Pelicans in 2017-18.
