"It's his first time back around [practice]," Nick Nurse said about Covington. "He has been on the court a few days. He did get out and participate in parts of practice today. It’s a good step forward. Hopefully, it'll keep going forward," Nurse concluded about Covington's progress, according to Yahoo Sports.
Meanwhile, it has been recently reported that Embiid is aiming to start playing for the playoffs before the end of the season.
Embiid had been injured on his left meniscus, while Covington is currently dealing with a knee injury.
As the race for the playoffs continues to heat up, the 76ers are ranked 7th in the Eastern Conference.
