San Antonio Spurs rising star Victor Wembanyama should have an opportunity to play an NBA game in his native France next season.

Coach Gregg Popovich confirmed on Sunday night that the Spurs will be heading to Paris for a game or possibly two next season.

"We're going there," Popovich stated, according to the Associated Press.

This statement came after San Antonio secured a victory over Brooklyn in Austin, Texas, despite it technically being a home game for the Spurs.

While the NBA has yet to officially announce the teams set to play in Paris next season, it has been widely speculated that San Antonio and Indiana would be among the selected teams.

Since 2020, the NBA has organized three regular-season games in Paris, all of which occurred in January.
