Serbia have joined Team USA in Group C of the Olympic Basketball Tournament that will be held in France next summer.
Credit: FIBA Credit FIBAThe Draw Ceremony for the Paris 2024 Olympic Basketball Tournaments was held in the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland.
The ceremony revealed the matchups for both the women's and men's basketball tournaments at the upcoming Paris Olympics.
A total of 12 nations will compete at the Men's Olympic Basketball Tournament Paris 2024, which is scheduled to run from July 27 to August 10.
In one of the most interesting matchups, Serbia will take on Team USA. The two teams are joined by South Sudan and the winner of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In Group A, which might turn out to be the strongest, Australia will be joined by Team Canada and the winners of the OQTs in Piraeus and Valencia.
France, Germany, Japan and the winner of the OQT in Riga populate Group C.

USA Germany Serbia Australia Canada France Japan South SudanThe remaining four tickets on offer will be punched by the winners of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments (OQT's) which will be held between July 2 and 7 in Piraeus (Greece), Riga (Latvia), San Juan (Puerto Rico) and Valencia (Spain).
The distribution of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments (OQT's) winners was based on the best-ranked team at each event. The teams were divided into four pots based on the FIBA World Ranking Men.
In each of the final three group drawn, there will was a minimum of two and a maximum of three teams from Europe. For Africa, Americas, Asia and Oceania, there should be no more than one team per continent in each group.
