Obradovic was asked about his future after Partizan president Ostoja Mijailovic confirmed that the club is seeking to extend the coach's contract.
"I'm proud, and I'm happy that the fans put up a banner that I'm one of them. I am proud and happy to be the coach of Partizan. I have no doubt what my future is," Obradovic said.
"I don't see myself anywhere but in Partizan. Either I'll stay here, or I won't work anymore," Obradovic added.
With Partizan standing at 13-16 and marginally occupying a TOP10 spot, the main issue is not whether the team will qualify for the Euroleague playoffs, but whether Obradović will sign a new contract with the club. Judging by his gesture to the fans who filled the stands in the game against Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, he has already done that.
"We want a contract for Zeljko," the crowd chanted, according to Mozzartsport. While fans were askingthe management to keep the winningest coach in European basketball history, what happened next surprised everyone.
Obradovic turned to the audience and, holding his board, made a signing gesture, letting everyone know that the work on the contract is done.
