Following the rumors about Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade's stance against Dubai's entry into the ABA League, the club issued an official statement.

Out of all the clubs in the regional competition at the assembly, the Arab reps received nine positive votes. Buducnost did not even attend the meeting, while Partizan Mozzart Bet remained restrained.

"KK Partizan considers this procedure absurd, because Dubai was practically admitted to the league first, only to be asked for a place in it later," the announcement reads.

The Serbian side clarifies that it's not "fundamentally against the entry of Dubai into the ABA League, but against the way in which that decision was made. Also, the club is very concerned about the expansion of the competition calendar to four more games, which represent an additional burden for the players."

The announcement also mentions that Dubai raised their financial offer at Partizan's initiative and insistence. In similar fashion, a few hours after the Assembly in Zagreb ended, Buducnost clarified its decision to not attend the meeting.

"We have nothing against allowing Dubai to play in the ABA league from the next season, but insist that this admission be done with respect to the Agreement and the Statute," Buducnost maintains.

"If the ownership structure of the 12 clubs is not determined, it is clear that a situation may arise in which it will not be known how many clubs play in the ABA league, and that the competition will be completely irregular from next season," the release concludes.
