The 2024 Paris Olympic Basketball Tournament will feature twelve teams, with a group phase followed by knockout rounds. The competition will run from July 27 to August 10 in Lille and Paris.

Set to take place during the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, the basketball tournament will run from July 27 to August 10.
During the group phase, games will be held at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille. The final phase of the tournament will then move to the Bercy Arena, also known as the Accor Arena, situated in Paris.
Eight teams have already secured their spots for Paris 2024: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Serbia, South Sudan, and Team USA.
Four additional teams will clinch their spots through the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments scheduled for July 2-7 in Piraeus, Greece; Valencia, Spain; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Riga, Latvia, with one team from each tournament earning a ticket to the Paris Olympics.

12 teams were divided into three groups of four teams each, with a single round-robin format within each group.
The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarterfinals.
Following the preliminary round, teams will be grouped based on their results, and a draw will pair teams from different groups for the quarterfinals.
For the draw, teams will be seeded into four pots: Pot D for the top two-ranked teams, Pot E for 3rd–4th ranked teams, Pot F for 5th–6th ranked teams, and Pot G for 7th–8th ranked teams. Teams from Pot D will face teams from Pot G, while teams from Pot E will meet teams from Pot F.
Teams from the same group cannot face each other again. Additionally, if both teams from Pot D advance to the semifinals, they will not compete against each other.
Schedule
The United States, leading Group C, will kick off its campaign against Serbia on July 28.
France, playing in front of a home crowd in Group B, will begin their journey with a match against a winner of the OQT in Latvia on July 27. They will face off against the reigning world champions, Germany, on August 2.
