George holds a player option worth $48.8 million for the upcoming season.
Despite his future uncertainty, the 33-year-old has continued to deliver on the court, averaging 22.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game over 61 appearances this season.
George is playing his fifth season with the Los Angeles franchise.
