Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul point guard Nick Calathes became the Euroleague's all-time steals leader by surpassing legendary player Dimitris Diamantidis with 435 steals.

The legendary point guard had 434 steals in his illustrious EuroLeague career.
In the second half versus Real Madrid, Calathes picked up the one steal that he needed to break the record.

Before breaking the record, Calathes stated the following about the potentiality in an interview with BasketNews.
"Yeah, it's great," Calathes said about his upcoming milestone. "Obviously, it just shows my longevity. I've been blessed to play with a lot of good people."
"For me as a player, the defense is one of my strengths, and to be next to Diamantidis is special."
This season, the new steals leader is averaging 6.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1 steal per game. He is ranked 27th in steals per game, having picked up 28 steals in the 2023-24 season.
