"For now, we can talk about superlatives. From a not-so-good start to big wins in a row. That gave us confidence," said Becirovic in praise of the coaching staff and the players. "That even when we lost, the head remains on the shoulders. Let's try to fulfill the expectations of the public and the president as soon as possible," he said.
The executive also commented on the remarks of Jerian Grant, who stated that he expected his team to be in the Final Four.
"I'll listen to Grant. He is on the field, and he knows better," said Becirovic briefly.
Becirovic kept the matter of the playoffs match-up to himself.
"Whatever happens, happens... Each game is for itself, and each one counts twice because with the defeats of Monaco and Barcelona it opens the way for us to [the] second place," he explained after Round 30 defeats of both Monaco and Barcelona.
"If Olympiacos [comes in the playoffs], it will happen like any other team. We defend our position. If we finish better than them, it means that we were better than them, and that's how we will approach the playoff series," he explained his mentality about the regular season and the competition between PAO and Olympiacos.
After the Round 30 win against Crvena Zvezda, PAO currently has a 19-11 record, sharing the third spot with Monaco and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul.
