According to KARE 11 News, a Timberwolves organization employee was arrested by the local police and charged with a third-degree felony for burglary.

The man, Somak Sarkar, is alleged to have taken the hard drive of a high-ranking Timberwolves employee, containing sensitive and confidential team information and NBA information.

The victim of the crime is Sachin Gupta, the executive vice president of basketball operations. "Sarkar entered the office twice after looking to see if anyone could see him. He then left," the criminal complaint filed in the Hennepin County District Court states.

Over 5,000 files from the drive have been downloaded to another computer. According to the report, Sarkar told the police he had to put some files onto the hard drive and forgot to return it.

Sarkar was fired by the Timberwolves upon finding out about the offense.
