Unlike the scenarios involving Vasilije Micic and Sasha Vezenkov last summer, where their moves to the NBA were actively pursued and anticipated, it's currently difficult to pinpoint other EuroLeague players on the verge of securing NBA contracts. However, BasketNews has researched a few EuroLeague players whose potential signings in the NBA wouldn't come as a surprise.

When Tristan Vukcevic made an unexpected leap to the NBA, he joined a relatively short list of EuroLeague players who have recently transitioned to the world's top basketball league.

However, looking at the current EuroLeague landscape, it doesn't appear we'll see a significant inflow of EuroLeague players moving to the NBA this offseason.

Unlike the situations with Vasilije Micic and Sasha Vezenkov last summer, whose moves to the NBA were actively pursued and anticipated, it's challenging to identify other EuroLeague players who are poised to secure NBA contracts.

This isn't to say that EuroLeague players lack the talent or ability to compete in the NBA. Many of them have thriving careers in Europe, where they enjoy significant roles, substantial salaries, and the competitive experience of EuroLeague basketball.

But BasketNews has compiled a list of EuroLeague players who either have garnered interest from NBA teams, are actively exploring opportunities to join the NBA, or have been on the radar of NBA clubs for some time and may consider a move if the right opportunity arises.

It's important to note that this list is not a ranking and doesn't encompass all EuroLeague players who may be on the NBA radar. Each NBA team has its priorities and criteria for player recruitment, and sometimes, it only takes one team to show interest in an under-the-radar player for them to secure an NBA contract.

This list is based more on research and insights gathered from BasketNews sources regarding EuroLeague players' potential to jump to the NBA.

Edy Tavares

EuroLeague stats Contract situation NBA draft rights 9.7 PPG | 6.4 RPG | 1.4 BPG | 15.0 PIR Expiring deal (Real) –

The 31-year-old Real Madrid center is widely regarded as the most NBA-ready player in the EuroLeague.

With his dominant performances in all parts of the game, including winning EuroLeague titles and earning the Final Four MVP honor last season, Tavares has solidified his status as the premier big man in European basketball.

Tavares' remarkable achievements in the EuroLeague include being named to the All-EuroLeague First Team for three consecutive seasons from 2020 to 2023. This accomplishment places him in an iconic company alongside EuroLeague legends such as Nando De Colo (2015-2018), Dimitris Diamantidis (2010-2013), Juan Carlos Navarro (2008-2011), Nikola Vujcic (2004-2007), and Dejan Bodiroga (2001-2004).

Despite receiving an offer from the Portland Trail Blazers last summer, Tavares could not make the move due to a massive buyout clause in his contract with Real Madrid. However, with his deal expiring this summer, he will have the freedom to explore opportunities in Europe and the NBA.

But as Tavares approaches free agency, his status as a top EuroLeague player comes with a hefty price tag. Major European clubs are prepared to offer him a top salary in Europe, which might discourage him from pursuing NBA opportunities until free agency kicks in in July.

Considering this, Tavares has certain expectations for his NBA contract, including a significant role on a competitive team and a salary that could potentially reach the level of the mid-level exception, which was valued at $12.5M for the current season, sources tell BasketNews.

Potentially matching the lucrative contracts he could secure in Europe would not only be an intelligent business decision for Edy but could also provide assurances of a significant role within a team, akin to what Vasilije Micic sought before joining the NBA.

Only time will tell whether any NBA team will present him with a multi-year contract that aligns with his requirements. However, it's evident that Edy will have a lot of options to consider as a marquee EuroLeague free agent to hit the market.

Tarik Biberovic

Tarik Biberovic is currently the hottest under-23 player in the EuroLeague, showcasing impressive performances in recent games for Fenerbahce.

Over the last five EuroLeague games, the forward has seen a significant increase in both playing time and production. During that stretch, Biberovic has been averaging 12.6 points per game, which is the second-highest on the Fenerbahce team. He has also showcased remarkable shooting percentages of 63.2% from 2-point range and 57.1% from beyond the arc.

Additionally, he contributes 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in just 23 minutes per game.

While he displayed flashes of his scoring ability earlier in the season with standout performances against ASVEL (17 PTS) and Maccabi (18 PTS), his role was inconsistent, averaging 5.4 points in less than 13 minutes per game. However, recent opportunities under coach Sarunas Jasikevicius have allowed him to flourish.

Biberovic has always been on the radar of NBA scouts due to his
