Brandon Ingram, the star forward of the New Orleans Pelicans, will be sidelined for at least two weeks.

According to an announcement by the team, an MRI on Ingram revealed a left knee bone contusion after he was injured in a 121-106 loss to the Orlando Magic.

The forward went down after hyperextending his knee at the beginning of the third quarter and had to be helped out of the court. He did not return for the remainder of the game.

Ingram's situation will be reevaluated in two weeks, and the club stated that it will remain actively seized on the matter.

Before exiting the contest early, Ingram had scored 14 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists in 21 minutes.

Ingram is averaging 20.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game this season. With 42 wins and 27 losses, the Pelicans are currently 5th in the Western Conference.
