The New Orleans Pelicans took a playful jab at Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler following their commanding 111-88 victory over the Heat on Friday night.

"We're just a better team," the Pelicans cheekily posted on social media platform X.

Adding to their banter, the Pelicans also updated their bio to read "Keeping Receipts."

This sly dig was in response to Butler's confident remarks after their previous clash on Feb. 23.

Following Miami's 106-95 win in that game, which saw multiple players ejected amidst some heated exchanges, Butler boldly declared, "We'll beat them the next time, too. We're just a better team."

Butler's words came after a tense matchup that saw four players, including himself, ejected following a skirmish sparked by a foul on Zion Williamson.

However, with the Pelicans emerging victorious in their latest encounter, they can now relish in having the last laugh.
