Speaking to SPORT24, the experienced guard talked about how his team mounted a come-from-behind victory, as well as his philosophy on how other results impact his team's playoff chances.
"We had to stop them. That was the most important thing. In the first half, they were outscoring us by 16 points, so we had to limit their scoring but also find our own points on offense," he explained about his team's comeback against Barcelona.
"I had told my team-mates before the game that we had to have good [defensive] returns in transition because that is one of the strong points in Barcelona's game. But we didn't do it in the first part," Nunn continued.
"When we went into the locker room for halftime, I emphasized that again. And it turned out to be key," he also credited himself for recognizing the mistakes in PAO's game, which caused them to fall behind in the first half.
In terms of the other results in the other games, Nunn does not give them much attention.
"I know these two [EA7 Emporio Armani Milan] wins help us in terms of points, but I'm not the guy who looks at those things," he stated. "I don't look at the results. I'm concerned with what we're doing."
I'm only looking at our team. I care about us getting the wins where I have to, and I let the rest develop by themselves," he said about his philosophy on such matters.
"I always try to make the team better. That's my type. I try to motivate my teammates. We train hard, we compete hard. We always help each other. And that's the most important thing," he concluded.
This season, Nunn is averaging 14.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. He is one of PAO's main offensive weapons, helping the team reach a 20-11 record and 2nd place in the standings as of the end of Round 31.
