"I still want to play. That's part of the reason I play basketball," Holiday told The Boston Globe. "But it's also keeping rhythm. Sometimes, when you’re out for a long time, you break the rhythm, but I feel like I've been in a good groove, and I want to continue to play."
Coach Joe Mazzulla recently provided an update on Holiday's condition, stating, "He's in good shape. He's doing well. He's getting better."
The seasoned veteran, with 15 years of experience and two All-Star appearances under his belt, is averaging 12.8 points per game, his lowest since his rookie season with the Philadelphia 76ers. However, Holiday is showcasing career-high numbers in 3-point shooting (44.5 percent) and rebounds (5.4), along with 4.9 assists.
Meanwhile, the Celtics have maintained a league-best 57-14 record.
