The Lithuanian center scored 11 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and dished out 10 assists for his 54th consecutive double-double, setting a new NBA record after surpassing Kevin Love, who previously held the record with 53.
Sabonis now has the chance to break a single season's double-double record that currently belongs to Hakeem Olajuwon with 72. With 11 games remaining in the regular season, the Lithuanian needs just 6 more double-doubles to etch his name in history once again.
Additionally, it was Sabonis' 25th triple-double this season. Only two big men have previously done in the entire NBA history - Wilt Chamberlain and Nikola Jokic.
In his 8th season in the NBA, Sabonis is averaging 19.8 points, 13.7 rebounds (leads the league), and 8.3 assists per game.
