Vukcevic hit a couple of three-pointers and finished the victorious game against the Chicago Bulls with 6 points and 3 rebounds.
"It was really great. I know there are a lot of Serbs in Chicago who gave me a lot of support. I feel good because everyone accepted me well," Vukcevic told Aleksandar Zigic from RTS.
"I'm really happy because of the trust that the coach showed me. It was tough in Europe, and now I have to completely change my style of play, given that different basketball is played here," Vukcevic said. "It's not a problem for me. I'm going day-by-day now, and the more I play, the better I will get."
Vukcevic's seemingly sudden departure from Partizan caught most local fans by surprise. However, the Serbian club will reportedly receive a $600,000 buy-out for the transaction.
"A well-paid compensation for Partizan. That was my decision. I wanted to come here. I don't know what the next plan is, I'm going day by day," Vukcevic said.
"I've been doing this all my life, it's not a problem for me to get into the system quickly," he continued. "I like to play basketball. The more I'm on the court, the better I feel."
