In The Draymond Green Show, Holiday talked about the process of him being traded and aired some grievances.
"I am taking a nap. I see the text and a call from the GM. And I'm like, 'I'll call him back, I'm deep in this nap too,'" said Holiday humorously. "And then, two seconds later, my agent called. He's like, 'You talk to him?' I'm like, 'Nah, bro, I'm sleeping.' He's like 'Well, you just got traded, so you should probably call him back," he revealed.
"I think for me, it was just a shock because at least let me know 24 hours in advance. Not 5 minutes in advance. Maybe I'm asking for too much. I mean, it's like, we won, I won there..." Holiday said, expressing dissatisfaction with how the process was handled.
In his first season with the Celtics, Holiday is averaging 12.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game, being an important presence in the Boston team's rotation.
