The 31-year-old logged 51 minutes, 52 seconds against the Milwaukee Bucks – the most playing time of his career and most by a Lakers player since Kobe Bryant in 2012.
And his effort paid off as the Lakers came back from a 19-point deficit to beat the Bucks 128-124 in a 2-overtime drama.
"It was fun," Davis said after the win. "Let's line up and do it all over again tomorrow."
Davis finished the game with 34 points (12/31 FG, 3/8 3PT, 7/7 FT), 23 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks, and 4 turnovers.
"Now we got to fill our cups back up and try to go play against a really hard-playing, highly competitive Memphis team regardless of what their circumstances are with people being in and out of the lineup," Lakers head coach Darvin Ham added.
The Lakers won their 4th game in a row and, with a 40-32 record, are two games behind the 8th-seeded Phoenix Suns (42-30).
