Joining Gobert on the 2023-24 Kia NBA All-Defensive First Team are San Antonio Spurs forward-center Victor Wembanyama, Miami Heat center-forward Bam Adebayo, New Orleans Pelicans forward-guard Herb Jones and Los Angeles Lakers forward-center Anthony Davis.

Wembanyama is the first rookie to be selected to the Kia NBA All-Defensive First Team (which has been named annually since the 1968-69 season).  Adebayo has earned First Team honors for the first time after being a Second Team member in each of the previous four seasons.  Jones makes his Kia NBA All-Defensive Team debut.  For Davis, this is his third time on the First Team to go with two Second Team selections.

The 2023-24 Kia NBA All-Defensive Second Team consists of Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso, Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs, Boston Celtics guards Derrick White and Jrue Holiday, and Minnesota forward Jaden McDaniels.
